Pet-Friendly, Luxury Living Close to the T

If you’re a dog-owner, you don’t decide where you live. Your dog does. Your live revolves around the dog. So, above all, you need a place that not only will allow your furry friend, but will make it feel at home.

This community in Quincy does just that. Lauded as one of the most pet-friendly properties in the area, it’s where many dog-owners end their luxury apartment search. And thanks to its affordable rates and high-end amenities, it’s pretty darn human-friendly, too.

The Apartment

The buildings, which are spread out across the property, are garden-style: just three floors high to minimize crowding and maximize privacy. All the apartments have standard luxuries, like in-home washer/dryers, granite countertops in the kitchen, central air, and a private balcony with a personal storage unit.

The best bang for your buck? A top-floor two-bed that’s ideal for a pair of roommates. A wide, squared living room separates the two bedrooms, which each have an attached bathroom and a walk-in closet. The kitchen, which has cabinets that open from both sides, has a breakfast-bar setup that’s perfect for bar stools. All of the second- and third-floor units have a wood-burning fireplace. And on the top floor, the apartments have vaulted ceilings that give the homes a much more open feel.

The Price

$1,645/month. The same floorplan on the first floor (no fireplace or high ceilings) is available for just $1,610.

The Up-Front Costs

$1,000 security deposit, a $350, one-time move-in fee, and a $50 application fee. Just $1,400 total (first month’s rent isn’t due until you move)

Pet Rent

$30/month for a cat or a small dog. $60/month for a large dog

The Community

Like we said, pets are welcomed warmly. Walk into the clubhouse and one of the first things you’ll notice is a charming dish of complimentary dog treats. Next to the pool is a fenced-in dog run. And at the end of pool season, right before it’s drained for cleaning, management hosts a “doggie pool party.” The clubhouse can be rented for parties or functions (you can host a wedding reception there and you wouldn’t be the first one to do so). The 24-hour fitness center was recently renovated and has a sauna that’s open for resident use any time of day. A sunny, internet cafe overlooks the pool.

The property is just a half-mile from the Quincy Adams T station, so many of its commuting residents get to work without a car. But drivers have it easy, too: there’s free parking throughout and the highway is literally a minute away. Also nearby: a brand-new BJ’s Wholesale Club (half-a-mile) and the South Shore Plaza (five-minute drive).
